VACA BABAY!

This past week we went to Portland and had lots of fun! I wish I would have taken more pictures than what I did but I guess it's alright. We went to Portland for a family reunion with Scott's family! I really haven't met any of his family so we decided this would be the perfect time to do so! We went to Multinoma Falls just outside of Portland. It was so stinkin hot but we hiked to the top of the waterfall! It was very pretty and worth it in the end, I seriously thought I was going to die for a while! We went to the Oregon zoo, it was a pretty good zoo! It was a bit too hot for the zoo, but it was fun. On Saturday we had family pictures with Scott's dad's family then we went to the family reunion and had lots of fun! By Sunday we were totally exhausted and it was time to roll on home.

Mount Hood!

Waterfall! We hiked all the way up there!

At the top of the waterfall! We made it!
At the bottom!

We wanted to take a picture with the whole waterfall in it. Scott's dad is laying on the ground in the middle of like 50 people, but we got the whole thing in the picture!
Scott's mom sister and dad. And there is some guy in the background spitting over the edge!

Here is the elephant at the zoo, he had a beard! He is 50 years old! He has been there ever since Scott's dad has been going to that zoo!

4th of July!

This past week sure has been busy! We moved on Thursday and luckily I conveniently had to work, so all the moving of the big stuff was done by the time I was done working! We sure are hoping that we're done moving for a while, it's getting a little old packing every 6 months. Our house was finally put all together by Friday just in time for the 4th of July festivities!!! We went over to my Aunt Shannon's for a pre 4th of July party. We ate lots of good food and did our own fireworks. We would do our fireworks on the 4th of July but my uncle is the guy who does the city fireworks so he is a little busy that night. Saturday we went to dinner at Tucano's Brazilian Grill with some friends. It was awesome! Then we went back and watched the fireworks in Mtn. Home and it was a great show!

I had to put this picture up! This is my aunt's new little dog! She is so darn cute! I think Scott thinks so too!
I'm a little skiddish when it comes to sparklers, they scare me just a bit. So I decided to hold one and we had to get a picture!
My mom thought it would be fun to get matching shirts this year! I thought it was awesome, everyone else didn't like it though! So to make things worse I'm going to get us all shirts next year to form a flag. 2 people will be the starts of the flag and the rest are going to be stripes and when we stand together we will be a flag!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

These last 3 days sure have been busy! Softball tournaments were in Kuna, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! Our team has been undefeated all year and we were the team to beat. Thursday we played 1 game and we won, Friday we played 2 games and won both of those games, then Saturday we played ended up playing our 1st game at 9:00 am and LOST by 1! So we ended up playing another team at 11:00 and WON! So we had to play the team we lost to again and we beat them, so we had to play them again because they haven't lost yet (double elimination) and we WON! We are the first Mtn.Home Sting team to ever win the Championship! It was so much fun! OUR TEAM ROCKS!!!!!

Us coaches! We were the only team with all women coaches... and we WON!

We are #1! Our Amazing team!

When I got home the weather decided to go crazy and it started hailing and pouring rain!

I think there is a bit of a flood going on here!

It was like this all over town!

SURPRISE.......YOU WIN!

So a couple days ago I decided to cook some chicken at around 9:30 p.m. for Scott's lunch the next day. So I go to the freezer and open up a brand new bag of chicken breasts. I take out 2 pieces of chicken and throw them in the oven. When I go to put the bag of chicken back in the freezer I take a quick gander back into the bag and to my surprise, Wal*Mart decided to leave me a prize inside the bag!!!!!!!

I called Scott into the kitchen and his exact words were,"Huh... what the hell is that."I took it to Wal*Mart to show them what I won!!! They were a little baffled and told me they have never seen anything like that before! I guess I won in 2 different ways, first, finding this object frozen to a piece of chicken, and second, being the first person in Mtn.Home Wal*Mart history to find the weirdest object in their bag of chicken! YAY for me!!!!!

UTAH!

We went to Utah this weekend. Allie had clogging Nationals at Lagoon and we had LOTS of fun! Friday we watched her do her solos then went to Red Lobster(I absolutely hate sea food, so that was interesting). Saturday we watched Allie clog throughout the day and rode rides when she wasn't clogging. It couldn't have been a better day to be at Lagoon, not too hot and not too cold...Just right! After Lagoon we went to my Aunt and Uncles and had a BBQ. My little cousin loves Scott, it's so funny! When we first got there Lyle(my cousin) told his mom he wanted to play with his toy train with Scott and...... her(pointing to me). He doesn't even know my name but he sure knows Scott's! He wouldn't let anyone poor his milk in the morning except for Scott, it was pretty darn funny! On Sunday we went and watched the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing!Scott and me at Red Lobster

My dad, Haydon, and mom getting ready to ride the rocket!

Scott and me gettin' ready to take off!

The cutest little baby geese!

Scott and Lyle. He didn't leave Scott's side the entire time we were there. Lyle broke his elbow on the slide, so he has a pretty sweet cast on.

The Tabernacle Choir singing!

Our team is DYNAMITE!

Softball time is here again and I LOVE IT! I wasn't planning on coaching this year, but one thing led to another and well..... the picture explains itself! Ali and I have been friends for forever, we grew up playing softball together , so how could I pass up the chance to coach with her?! We have a pretty good little team!!! So far we are undefeated and we plan to stay that way! Every one keeps telling us winning doesn't matter, but we are having a hard time remembering that. We aren't competitive at all!!!

Ali and I coaching!!! Those shirts sure are yellow aren't they?!?! We definitely won't get lost in a crowd!

What a BEAUTIFUL day!

Today was such a beautiful day! No wind and no cold! Shoshone falls is flowing and we thought it would be a great day to go down there, however, so did the rest of Idaho! We got to Twin Falls and headed toward Shoshone Falls, the traffic was backed up 6 miles back!!!!! We drove the first 4 miles and decided the traffic was a little bit ridiculous, so we parked in a parking lot and walked the other 2 miles. Since it was the perfect weather, it was actually a pretty enjoyable walk. We passed at least 200 cars on foot, we decided we probably made the right decision by walking! We finally got down to the falls a little sun burned, but it was totally worth it!

Me, my mom, and Allie are in the sunglasses!

Scott is giving his sexiest look! HA!

Stuff!

I've decided I should probably update the blog! So we have had another run in with car problems. Our 4Runner decided to kill over one day, and we decided we were sick and tired of buying new motors for our cars. You know 3 motors in 9 months is a little ridiculous! So we got rid of that piece of crap and bought another car. But this time it's new, good looking, and runs fantastic! Our new Volkwagon Jetta ROCKS! We are hoping that this one lasts us for a VERY long time.
Last week we attempted to go up to the cabin. My dad bought snowmobiles so we can get up there in the snow. But apparently it isn't all that easy to get to when the road is half 2 feet of snow and half dirt. So the truck couldn't make it up there because of the snow and the snowmobiles couldn't make it up there because of the dirt. It was a disappointment when we had to turn around and go home. We never thought we would run into that problem! So maybe we can make it up there in another month or so.
A couple weeks ago I got talked into coaching softball again. I wasn't going to do it, but it turned out that my good friend from high school was going to be the head coach and she needed an assistant. So, I'm going to be stuck outside in the freezing cold, rainy, windy, spring playing softball once again. But I guess it's worth it if you love the sport.
Scott is still going to school and working. He has been really busy. He goes to work at 6 a.m., gets off at 6 p.m., and has to be in Boise at 6 p.m. and he gets home around 10! I know it sounds impossible but it seems to work. He's been a bit tired, I can see why though. Luckily he has the weekends off so he gets to catch up on homework and sleep!

Elder Riley!

Jace (Scott's brother) has been on a mission in India for about 5 months and he finally sent us some pictures! We were so excited, he would have sent us more but the computers over there are way slow so he could only send 2. We've learned a lot about India since he's been there. He's been in Chennai, India all 5 months, there are 4.5 million people in his area and only 8 missionaries and there are only 70 active members in his branch, there is a lot of work to be done!   There is no toilet paper (gross huh?), there are 3 seasons...Hot, hotter, and hottest it can get up to 115 degrees with 90% humidity! He said sometimes their door will expand so much because of the humidity that it won't open in the morning!  He finally got his first warm shower a week ago, and cows roam the streets! It sounds pretty crazy to me!

Can you spell RELIEF!?!

After 6 long and stressful months, Scott has finally found a job!!!!!!! He is now working for Simplot loading corn onto semi trucks.  My uncle was oh so very kind to give him a job. We are so excited and to top things off, the little girl I babysit is starting pre school (I wasn't too excited about that because that meant less working time for me). However,  her mom asked if I would be willing to work in her speach therapy office as a secretary 3 days a week and watch her little girl the other 2 days!!! This week has been awesome and it's only Wednesday!
